CW Keying and Antenna Tuner Control

CAT4OM provides structured CW keying and antenna tuner control for supported radio profiles, integrated with the same ownership and transmit-safety model used for PTT.

Transmit-related tools with station-aware control

CAT4OM includes structured transmit-related controls for radio profiles that support them. CW keying and antenna tuner operation can be exposed through the same ownership, safety, and state model used for normal CAT control.

CW keying

CAT4OM supports CW keying for supported TCI and Flex profiles.

Features include:

  • send CW text;
  • stop CW transmission;
  • set CW speed;
  • key down/up operation;
  • append mode for real-time CW typing;
  • transmit-safety integration;
  • Log4OM integration as a CAT4OM keyer option.

Because CW can place the station on the air, CAT4OM treats CW actions as transmit-related operations and keeps them within the same control model used for PTT ownership.

Antenna tuner control

CAT4OM includes antenna tuner control for radio profiles where a tuner command is available.

Features include:

  • model-specific tune command;
  • transmit-safety integration;
  • timeout handling;
  • status tracking during tuner activity;
  • bridge support where compatible.

Because antenna tuning can transmit RF, CAT4OM treats tuner operation as a transmit-related action.

Integrated with the rest of the station

CW and tuner actions should not be invisible side channels. In CAT4OM, they can be exposed through the UI, supported bridges, and native API where the radio profile allows it, while still participating in station ownership, diagnostics, and transmit-related status tracking.

Use CAT4OM’s CW and tuner controls when supported by your radio profile and when you want those actions integrated with the station’s transmit-safety model.
